About the Event

OVERVIEW

Join us in Perth for the 2nd Magura Cup — a 9-day elite training and competition experience for players born 2011 or later.


World-class coaching, tournament play, cross-regional exchange and new friendships.


OBJECTIVES

  • Improve individual water polo skills

  • Build sport-specific fitness, strength & shoulder durability

  • Develop tactical awareness and game intelligence

  • Gain match experience through balanced competition

  • Foster teamwork, sportsmanship & cross-cultural connection


PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Training Camp Phase

6–10 December 2025


Morning: Dynamic warm-up, gym work & Hydro-Armour shoulder and injury prevention

Midday: Recovery & optional nutrition talk

Afternoon:Skills, conditioning & tactical drills

Evening: Optional recovery or video session


Tournament Phase

11–14 December 2025

Teams created from training evaluations to ensure balanced play.

Daily match play, tactical briefings, analysis & awards on Dec 16.


COACHING TEAM

Led by internationally experienced world class coaches and top Australian players supported by:

  • Guest coaches/mentors top Australian players providing high-level technical and tactical insight.

  • Low coach-to-player ratio to maximise feedback.


Supported by physiotherapist, athletic trainer, strength & conditioning coach, camp manager and volunteer assistants.
